Financial inclusion analysis: opportunities for the development of the mexican financial sector
Abstract
This paper analyzes the effect of various socioeconomic variables on the degree of financial inclusion in Mexico. For this, the logit and probit probability models are used, as well as a robust linear regression model. Through the information from the National Survey of Financial Inclusion 2012 and 2015, the magnitude of the positive impact of remittances, education and salary income is estimated, which confirms the route that must be followed to promote financial inclusion in Mexico.
